Things have been awful quiet since the premiere of Evangelion ReDeath ReDux, which is something we hope to put a stop to starting now.

Some big news to report, as we’ve hinted on the forum, is that ECCH will no longer be Studio Sokodei’s next project. Without spending too much time on the reasons why, we realized that what looked good on paper didn’t turn out so well when we tried to shape it into something meeting our standards. Rather than force ourselves to make a video we weren’t enjoying very much, we decided to shelve it.

So what will be the next project then? Well don’t worry, we’re not lacking in ideas over here (in fact, part of the reason we moved away from ECCH was due to how much more interested we became in the new prospects that emerged). We haven’t made a firm decision yet, but we’ll be sure to report it as soon as we do. I guess I can drop a hint though: the two leading candidates have aired on the Cartoon Network.

For the immediate future, the plan is to make this site something good and to finish the mastering of Fanboy Bebop and Nescaflowne to DVD.
